    Research Interests

My research has focused on agriculture, groundwater, and human dimensions of natural resources. For my undergraduate thesis I examined the use of Indigenous regenerative agricultural practices on Nebraska farms as a means for increasing the quantity and quality of the state’s soil and water resources, and thereby increasing the farms’ ability to mitigate the increasing frequency and intensity of extreme weather events like drought and increasing atmospheric temperatures. My current work is focused on food security systems, environmental justice, and energy equality issues for Indigenous, rural, urban, and underserved communities in Nebraska.
